REP Designed Project Named Finalist for the Best Public Improvement of the Texas Downtown Associatio
BELTON | The Nolan Creek Project in Downtown Belton has been named named a finalist in the Best Public Improvement Program category of the 2015 Texas Downtown Association (TDA) President’s Awards Program.
Since 1998, the Awards Program has recognized more than 150 projects, events and people that make a difference in Texas downtowns. The categories are divided based on populations of over and under 50,000 inhabitants.
The Best Public Improvement award recognizes excellence in public projects and planning in downtown or commercial districts. The other finalist in this category & population group is Blues Alley in Navasota.
Judging for the awards took place on Friday, September 11, in Austin. The jury panel included the following representatives: Darren Drewitz, Mind Ecology; Chet Garner, The Daytripper; Becky Kauffman, Historic Waxahachie, Inc.; Emily Little, Clayton & Little Architects; and Kate Singleton, Preservation Austin. Winners will be announced on November 5 at the President’s Awards Luncheon held in conjunction with the 2015 Texas Downtown Development and Revitalization Conference in Waxahachie.
The Texas Downtown Association, established in 1985, is an independent, statewide nonprofit organization comprised of over 450 members involved in downtown and commercial district revitalization projects.
